                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF A PORTION OF DUANE ROAD, MORE
                   PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, ON SATURDAY,
                   JULY 4, 1992 FROM 11:00 A.M. TO 5:00 P.M.
                   FOR THE "DUANE ROAD BLOCK PARTY" SPONSORED
                   BY MS. JIMMY LOU RYE UNDER CERTAIN
                   CONDITIONS.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of Duane Road between Avon Place and Hixson 
Pike
       on Saturday, July 4, 1992 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the
       presentation of the "Duane Road Block Party" under the 
sponsorship
       of Ms. Jimmy Lou Rye, provided that the sponsor shall set out
       flasher barricades and warning signs in accordance with the
       traffic control plan attached hereto and shall provide, at all
       times, an access lane for emergency and residential vehicles.
